剪纸在中国农村是历史悠久、流传很广的一种民间艺术形式。在乳山，每当逢年过节或者新婚喜庆，人们把美丽鲜艳的剪纸贴在雪白的窗纸或明亮的玻璃上、墙上、门上、灯笼上，节日的气氛便被渲染得非常浓郁喜庆。

　　Paper-cutting is a folk art form with a long history and widely spread in the countryside of China. In Rushan, during the Chinese New Year's Festival or a wedding, traditionally people paste beautiful paper-cuts on white window paper or bright glass, walls, doors and lanterns, which will render the festive atmosphere.

　　2008年，乳山剪纸被乳山市人民政府确认公布为第一批乳山市级非物质文化遗产代表性项目名录。

　　In 2008, Rushan Paper-Cutting was confirmed and announced by Rushan People's Government among the first batch of Rushan Intangible Cultural Heritage Representative Items List.
